»My friends (yes) the People‘s Tomorrow is upon us (oooh) Long (oooh) have we awaited this moment. (right now) 2, 3, 4 (organ count-in) Long have wie sought the way, of living in harmony. Long have we dreamt of it, the promise of harmony. We have dreamt of it, hand in hand, voices raised in song. Show us the way! (shouted) We have made the promise, and now it is here.«
