The right-wing popularity is irritating. This polyphonic and detailed book is on the trail of this irritating present. How can the current conjunctures of right-wing mobilization be understood in their popular cultural, affective, media and everyday world formations? And how does the "political" manifest itself in them - even beyond party affiliation and voter analyses? From a variety of cultural studies perspectives, the contributors explore the ambivalences and contradictions of right-wing movements: through ethnographic observations, narrative interviews and cultural-analytical perspectives on music and painting, social media and video clips, as well as on stagings of the body and gender. The surprising empirical facets and conceptual proposals fundamentally question previous certainties about "the rights".
