Some Deaths is a collection of the last pages extracted from
67 novels of the last 200 years, on which the end of fictitious
lives are told. The death of a character and the end of
a book merge into each other into one and the same. The
trained eye will recognise Kafka, Flaubert or Woolf, but the
most interesting is the range of literary styles that most
effectively express themselves over the last minutes of
reading, the last traits of character of their protagonists.
This project also brings to mind a certain mourning for the
life of a fictitious character, but strongly reflects on literary
style in its greatest and possibly most emblematic expression:
the end of a story told in so many declinations. The
texts are in their original language: English, French and
German.
