A richly illustrated selection from the writings of Marcel Breuer, born in 1902 in Hungary, where he grew up. Breuer studied at the Bauhaus and from 1925 to 1928 headed its furniture workshop as a »young master«. Walter Gropius’s protégé, he developed numerous pieces of tubular steel furniture such as the legendary Wassily chair, which soon gained its inventor international fame.
